Another 20 miles in the bagThis morning after a mixed evening, the boys started back in Garrick. Mixed as the football didn't quite live up to expectations (not just for us I imagine) but we were staying in a beautiful Guest House in Crieff with two great hosts. Many thanks to Shari & Yann for a lovely stay and breakfast. On the plus side, today's weather has been cool and dry, perfect for walking but the single dirt track the boys joined after crossing the A9 became very steep towards the end which Mike reliably informs me is murder on your toes. They then took in the ‘sights' of Stirling town centre and after 6 hours, 10 minutes walking arrived in Denny, the new finish point for today. Topics of conversation today were; James Bond, ‘John's' known to them both and jokes. The update I received on our way to this evening's hotel included the two jokes for the day (yes they are publishable): Mike – What's Winnie the Pooh's middle name? Answer; the Nick – What do you call a man with a car on his head? Answer; Jack Anyone who can do better (which I imagine is not difficult) please leave them on the website but please keep them clean!! And regarding James Bond, favourites are Daniel Criag and Sean Connery and favourite JB films were Casino Royale and Live and Let Die. Does anyone reading this have a different opinion? After completing tomorrow's route, the total left to walk will fall under 600 miles. And by Saturday afternoon, one third of the mileage will have been completed. So, some big milestones to be reached over the next few days. We'll be back tomorrow in the meantime – Amelia we hope you feel better soon.
