300 UP!!Today has been one of achieving milestones. We have now clocked up over 300 miles and have less than 600 to go and we have now completed 1/3rd of our trek. Today has been a complete contrast to yesterday when we walked through some not very nice towns. Today has been about rolling countryside, clear blue skies and 23 degree temperatures. We are back to talking to the cows and the sheep. We passed through the town of Lanark this morning which is a beautiful market town but most of the day has been in open countryside. Today's topics for discussion were Liverpool, liposuction and liqueurs. The highlights were: Liverpool – City of Culture??? But good music and football Liqueurs – Liked by me (Mike – surprisingly) and not by me (Nick – surprisingly) Liposuction – yuk! If you want to loose weight trying walking from John O'Groats to Lands End. Thanks for all your comments on the blog. Please keep them coming, we enjoy reading them every day. Our next milestone is to reach England on Wednesday next week before we end the second section of our walk. Any topics for discussion beginning with ‘M' for tomorrow, please let us know. We started walking in Newmains at 8.40am and finished in Wiston at 4.00pm completing 21 miles. 14 miles were completed before lunch, quick break then the final 7 miles this afternoon.
