Take That, Charlotte's back

Back on the road at 8.20am from Galgate and continued south on the A6 passing through Garstang and heading for Preston.  The weather was much better than yesterday with no rain even though it was very cloudy.  We safely negotiated the intricacies of the Preston periphique and finished for the day at the start of the A49.  We have covered 20 miles today bringing the total up to 458 miles and we are both in good spirits.

Charlotte arrived back from the Take That concert in the morning and so normal services were resumed. 

We will stay on the A49 for the next week as we head towards the Bristol Channel at Chepstow.  On Friday we plan to get to Newton-le-Willows, on Saturday Tarpoley and on Sunday Prees which is just north of Shrewsbury.  After what seemed like an age to get through Scotland, we are now hitting major town's every day.  As always, we would welcome your messages and suggested discussion topics.  Today we discussed Tunisia (not for long as neither of us knew anything about it) and toilets and tortoises at the suggestion of the bowls club.  Tomorrow is ‘U' day so we need some creative ideas please.
