600 Plus!!Following our wet walk with the intrepid Villa girls, Nick & Andrew, Charlotte received great news on being offered her dream job starting after the walk. This meant we needed a slap up meal to celebrate so with no expense spared we went to KFC followed by a quick glass of cider in downtown Hereford. Today we started walking at 9.00am along with Chris Bocking a former colleague of Nick's from his Lucas days. We kept good pace throughout the day and despite cloudy weather we kept dry all day. After a few miles, we left the A49 for the quieter A466 down to Monmouth. Chris proved too be far fitter than both of us and kept up with the pace very well. He kept is entertained with his takes of his deprived childhood at a Surrey Comprehensive fending off the Frimley Boot Boys. We took lunch at the Premier Plants Coffee Shop & Garden centre in Three Ashes. Big thanks to Keith & Luisy (ha ha) for their kind donation and gorgeous flapjacks. We finished the walk in Monmouth at 16.00 having completed 19 miles having now clocked up a total of 607 miles in 29 days!! Thanks to Chris for joining us today, we really enjoyed your company Tomorrow is the 11th and final day of the third sector when we will be walking down to Chepstow and finishing at the Severn Bridge. Tomorrow we will be joined by Dene Jones of Lloyds TBS and Steve Roberts, ex CompAir. The next blog update will be on Tuesday by which time we will be starting our final sector to Lands End. Thanks for all your comments. Please keep them coming, they mean a lot to us. Rob, Nick says he is looking forward to meeting up with you and Doug. Please call him on his mobile when you get a minute. Nick & Mike
