Over the Moors and far awayBack on the road at 8.30 am and immediately bumped into (our now old friend) PC Dine. We headed off down the A30 heading for Bodmin. The route today was directly over the top of Bodmin Moor and unfortunately most of it was on a very busy dual carriageway so not a great day for chatting while we walked. Despite the heat wave in the rest of the country, the weather here has been cloudy and not too warm today and so ideal for walking. About halfway through our journey, we stopped for lunch at the famous Jamaica Inn on top of the Moor which is an old smugglers pub. From there we headed on down to Bodmin and finished walking at 4.15 pm. Today we also started to see our first signs for Penzance which encouraged us as we know that Lands End is only 8 miles beyond it. Our plan for the next three days is to stay on the A30 and tomorrow head for Carland Cross then Camborne before finishing in Penzance on Friday evening. Hopefully the weather will continue to be kind to us so that we can walk without getting either too hot or too wet. Many thanks for all your messages, please keep them coming. Nick & Mike
