I thought Sunday was a day of rest??

Not so for us today as the boys were up and on the road at 07.30.  This meant us having to forfeit our daily cooked full Scottish breakfast but with 24 miles ahead today and an early finish needed, unfortunately a bacon sandwich 5 miles into the walk had to do.

Today knees, feet and backs are sore and the blisters have made their first appearance.  But the weather is much improved from yesterday and the first 10% of the walk is complete!!

Last night we stayed in Tain and found all available places to eat fully booked.  So as it was a Saturday night and the Football and Eurovision were on the TV, we did what I guess most other people did and ordered Chinese takeaway.  Spookily, our fortune cookie read ‘Today's route is straight and clear'.  We hope this is the case for the next 7 weeks.
Thank you to Robert at the Royal Hotel for accommodating all our requests and also for his generous donation.

This evening, we will be at The National Trust Culloden Battlefield to join Coeliac UK for a Tea Party to celebrate their awareness week.  Not only will it be an opportunity to see the fantastic work that Coeliac UK do and hopefully collect some donations while we're there but it's a great reminder of why the boys are doing what they're doing.  Niamh –we would like to dedicate today's blog to you.

Please keep your messages coming!!
